How to raise your testosterone naturally

There are a few ways that are known and backed by research that help to raise your testosterone naturally.

1) Lift Weights

Strength training can induce growth hormone and testosterone release, regardless of age.


1) Have enough sex. Ideally, with an ovulating woman.

Men exposed to the scent of an ovulating woman subsequently displayed higher levels of testosterone than did men exposed to the scent of a non-ovulating woman or a control scent.


2) Get enough sleep

Sleep duration, independently of age, aerobic exercise, and body fat, was positively associated with increasing testosterone.


3) Reduce stress

When cortisol–a hormone released in the body in response to threat–increases, the body is mobilized to escape danger, rather than respond to any influence that testosterone is having on behavior.


4) Eat enough fat

Men’s daily urinary excretion of testosterone also was 13% higher with the high-fat, low-fiber diet than with the low-fat, high-fiber diet (P = 0.01). Conversely, their urinary excretion of estradiol and estrone and their 2-hydroxy metabolites were 12-28% lower with the high-fat, low-fiber diet (P < or = 0.01). Results of this study suggest that diet may alter endogenous sex hormone metabolism in men.


5) Get lean

Results confirmed these hypotheses, showing a 40 percent higher prevalence of low testosterone in obese men compared to the non-obese participants.
